Deep Roots Nurturing the Future

We at First Christian Church Georgetown embrace a Christianity rooted in a passionate commitment to spiritual growth, respect for the faith journeys of all persons, God’s compassionate justice, and our rich heritage as Disciples of Christ.
Through our capital campaign, we seek to preserve and revitalize our building. With prayer and intention, we will remember the deep roots of our Christian faith and Disciples heritage, nurture the growth of our current ministries, and explore our future possibilities.
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

The capital campaign will run from 4/25/21-5/16/21 with the goal of obtaining three-year financial pledges to meet our goal of $400,000 in support of the projects listed below. Pledges will be collected on May 16, 2021 during a special celebration Sunday service during both our indoor and outdoor services. Of course, pledge cards may be turned in any time prior to May 16 as well by clicking here, calling the church office at 502.863.2049 or mailing or delivering your card to the church office. Pledges may be one time, yearly, monthly, or weekly. All gifts are important, no matter how large or small. Just as importantly, we ask that you consider renewing your commitment to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, and pray regularly for the ongoing success of our mission.
The Capital Campaign seeks to raise $400,000, to be collected over the course of three years. Funds will be used for the following estimated costs, and completed in the following order as monies are received:
1) Construction of new, handicapped accessible, first floor restrooms
2) New, energy efficient HVAC system to replace our current, obsolete system; can be completed in two equally priced steps)
3) Encase the steeple in weather resistant siding to prevent the need of frequent painting
4) Storm windows for the sanctuary for energy efficiency
Gifts of all sizes and types are appreciated for this vital campaign. You can contribute in many ways. Please make checks payable to the First Christian Church and mail or deliver to the church at the below address. Electronic gifts can be made on our website or by contacting the church office at 502.863.2049. Gifts are also accepted through online bill pay through your financial institution. Please contact the church office at fccgeorgetown@bellsouth.net if you have questions about giving a gift in this manner.
Recurring gifts can be made through ACH. ACH donations are deducted automatically from your bank account at the same time each month and are set up on an annual basis and can be discontinued at any time. You can find a form on the website or contact the church office to initiate ACH gifts.
