Easter Service

TIME - Easter Worship will begin at 11:00 a.m. in our sanctuary on Easter Sunday, April 5. It will also be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/fccgeorgetown at the same time.

THE SERVICE - Our Easter service will last around one hour and will feature special music by our choir, congregational singing, prayer, scripture reading, a sermon, and communion. As is our practice on the first Sunday of each month, we will also collect food items for our College Street “Blessing Box” (shared with community members who need them) and monetary donations for the AMEN House.

COMMUNION - We share in communion together each time we worship. The communion table is Christ’s table and *all* are welcome to share in communion when it is observed in the service- no exceptions!

DRESS - Some will dress up in a “business casual” kind of level, others will wear jeans. There are no set dress expectations- come as you are! No new or dressy Easter outfits required!

PARKING & ENTRY - We have parking lots on both College Street and Clinton Street (one block south of College), with entrances on both sides. There is also street parking available on both streets. Greeters will be at each door to direct you to the sanctuary and answer any questions you might have.

ACCESSIBILITY - Our accessible entrance for those with mobility challenges is located on Clinton Street and features a ramp to access the building, as well as a pull-up area for vehicles for those who may need to be dropped off there. There are reserved handicapped parking spots available in our Clinton Street parking lot.

KIDS - We have a nursery staffed by paid nursery staff available for infants through 4 years old. Normally we offer a Children Worship & Wonder experience for children 4 years through 2nd grade during the worship time, but on Easter Sunday, children will remain in the sanctuary as we all worship together. At the beginning of the service, children will be invited to assist with the collection for our Blessing Box and AMEN House offering and then will have the opportunity to get activity sheets and supplies to help them engage through the service.
